Comics Festival taking place March 7 in Berkshire

On March 7, from noon to 2 p.m., the Ithaca College Graphic Novel Group and Berkshire Free Library will present the Berkshire Comics Festival, a free event for kids ages four and up. 

Children and families are invited to drop by the Berkshire Free Library, located at 12519 State Route 38 in Berkshire, N.Y., to hunt dragons, craft creatures, create their own comic book characters, and color fantasy worlds.  

Comics Festival taking place March 7 in BerkshireWhile at the Comics Festival, join an art class to create comics with stories. Drawing on elements of art history, mythical creature design, and cartooning, this workshop will help kids tell their own unique stories. 

Two classes are available: 12-12:45 p.m. and 1-1:45 p.m. Classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (607) 657-4418 if you would like to reserve a spot.
