Letter: Is my gas-powered car going to be illegal in New York?

Dear Editor,

I received a letter from an organization called “The CO2 Coalition”, who stated that New York has passed legislation that will mandate the use of EV vehicles by 2035.

Is this correct? Has the New York legislature passed a law that would make it illegal for me to drive a gasoline powered car in the year 2035?
