High School Exhibition opens at TAC

The Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is pleased to present its Tioga County High School Student Exhibition in May 2022. It will feature work from Candor, Newark Valley, Owego, Spencer Van Etten, Tioga Central, and Waverly. 

Each school has been invited to showcase up to 20 samples of student artwork, and awards will be given in the following categories: Best in Show – Painting – Photography – Pencil & Ink – Mixed Media – 3-D.

The show opens Friday, May 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Artwork will be displayed in both the main and youth galleries at 179 Front St. in Owego.

After the opening, the exhibition will run from May 7–27, Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. 

Art teachers involved in the exhibit include Aria French (Candor), Rebecca Lantz (Waverly), Jay McIntosh (Spencer-Van Etten), Chris Negus (Newark Valley), Jodi Riggs (Tioga Central), Burton Taylor (Newark Valley), and Jolene Williams (Owego Free Academy).
