The 39th annual Apple Festival, a signature event in the community and hosted by the Newark Valley Historical Society, was held on Oct. 5 and 6 at the Bement-Billings Farmstead Museum property located on Route 38 in Newark Valley.

A popular fall festival in Tioga County, the event featured live music, demonstrations, children’s activities, apple-themed foods, nature trail walks, a heritage history display, along with a gift shop and vendors.

Several historic portrayals, from Johnny Appleseed to Apple Annie, and other notable people, were on hand to greet guests at the festival.
