The Tioga Arts Council’s 7th Annual Member Exhibition opened during Owego’s First Friday event, held Oct. 4. This exhibition features work from 28 artists who live and work in Tioga County and beyond.
Of the submissions, 19 are two-dimensional paintings; the mediums range from oil to pastel, to watercolor. They also received nine sculptures and woodcarvings. The youngest participant, Lydia Corcoran, age 15, submitted a photograph titled Weathered Love.
The exhibition will be on display through Oct. 26 at the arts council, located at 179 Front St. on Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
Participating artists include Kathye Arrington, Mary McPherson, Sarah Birchard, Robert Merwin, Frank Bocek, Alice Mischke, Susan Camin, Candace Murchie, Carolyn Campbell, Ann Pellegrino, Rachel Consolazio, John Pidcoe, Lydia Corcoran, Suzanne Poe, T. Benjamin Hobbs, Sarah Reid, Yvonne Hobbs, Melissa Restuccia, Michael Husted, Rod Reynolds, Tim Jackson, Robyn Schmitt, Suzanne Lachman, Michelle Schleider, Dr. Sonji Lee, Carrie Tornatore, Carol Livermore-Ostrander, Christopher Weber, Frank Longo, Eric Yetter, and Mary Mack.
