The decorations are going up, the food will be delicious, and the costumes to die for! With Halloween around the corner it is time to pull out your calendars, mark the date, and attend the Halloween Bash at the Owego Elks Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 26. From 7 to 11 p.m., the doors to the Ballroom open, inviting the community to a party full of fun, frights, and friends.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with activities and music to keep you amused, thrilled and spinning. Rock out and dance the night away with local DJ Rick Uhl. He will be sure to play all your favorite tunes, hits and haunted howls!
Light ‘finger’ foods and delectable ‘bites’ will be served complimentary. To quench your thirst, the bar will be open all evening and will feature fall brews and creative cocktail concoctions. Looking for advice or a little glimpse of the future, tarot card readings will be offered by Theresa’s Tarot. There will also be raffles and games all evening.
And in case you have not had enough fun, they will round out the evening with a costume contest. Costumes are not required for the party. This dance has brought out the imagination, creativity and inventive spirit of the community. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!
Tickets for this event are $10 at the door. Advance tickets are $8 and available at the Lodge on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 5 to 8 p.m. during ‘Social Hour,’ or by calling (607) 687-1039. This event is for those 18 and older.
The Owego Elks Lodge is located at 223 Front St. in Owego. All proceeds for this event will support the Lodge.
