Sarah’s Cause For Paws will be held at Hickories Park in Owego from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 5, rain or shine. The event is free, and will raise money to help homeless animals.
At the event there will be music by Jeff Updyke, a nail trimming from 1 to 2 p.m. for a donation, pet contest (cutest, oldest, looks most like their owner, and Halloween costume), basket raffles, a K-9 demonstration with a police dog, vendors, a blessing of the animals, and a food truck on site.
All are invited to come out and spend the afternoon in memory of Sarah! You don’t need to bring your dog to attend.
Sarah Jayne Orton Paws For a Cause Inc. was granted its own 501(c)(3) organization in 2017, and any and all funds raised are distributed between the Baltimore Humane Society and local animal shelters/rescues.
The Sarah Jayne Orton Memorial Foundation remains at the Baltimore Humane Society.
