The Tioga County District Attorney reported on Monday that a Tioga County Grand Jury handed up an indictment against Curtis G. Cuttino, age 40, and Michael J. McVicker, age 48, for the murder of Brian Argro during a burglary of his home at 5 Dorothy Rd. in Apalachin in the early morning hours of May 9, 2019. The indictment was handed up on Friday.
Cuttino was charged with felony Murder in the 1st degree, felony Murder in the 2nd degree, Burglary in the 1stdegree, Kidnapping in the 2nd degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
McVicker was charged with felony Murder in the 2nd degree, Burglary in the 1stdegree, Kidnapping in the 2nddegree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
Cuttino was apprehended by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office within an hour of the burglary and murder, and McVicker was apprehended by investigators of the New York State Police, Liberty Barracks, in Monticello, N.Y. later that morning while on a bus he was taking to southern Pennsylvania.
Both men are from York, Pa.
New York State Police Major Crimes and State Police Owego investigated.
