Services for Dennis “Matt” Howe, who died from injuries sustained when a tractor-trailer collided with a DOT truck in a work zone on March 13 in Nichols, N.Y., began today, with the family receiving friends from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.
The funeral for Howe is planned for Monday, March 25, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Owego, 261 Main St. Owego with the Rev. Jamie Stevens, officiating. The procession will follow, and travel down Main Street to John Street to Front Street, and return down Front Street to John Street to Main Street. The procession will also travel on Route 17.
The public is encouraged to honor the procession from the sidewalks. Officials are asking people to not stand in the road.

Matt, you will forever be in my thoughts. You were such an amazing young man. I will never forget the first time I met you at a family reunion, being married into the Howe family you quickly made me feel like Family.
