“Story”, a 3-member band consisting of Robert Heinrich, Gordie Gottlieb and Brian Schendel, will perform at Black Cat Gallery during Owego’s First Friday on Nov. 2. Provided photo.

The Black Cat Gallery will be celebrating First Friday on Nov. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. with entertaining music, and lots of great art and libations.

“Story” plays at the Black Cat Gallery for First Friday in November with the very talented 3-member band consisting of Robert Heinrich, Gordie Gottlieb and Brian Schendel, with songs and styles that range from folk, country and blues to rock and jazz standards.

Whatever the musical style, they gravitate toward songs that tell stories of people and stories of life. They create rich instrumental beds for their vocals, blending a wide variety of acoustic stringed instruments including 6-string, 12-string and classical guitars, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer, charango, Autoharp, cuatro and others.

A great Story gives life to the mundane, it gives meaning to words, and it brings passion to life. The stories we tell echo throughout our lives long after the moment passes.

That’s why, for First Friday, Black Cat Gallery is thrilled to invite to the Black Cat Gallery a local group of musicians by the name of “Story”.

Enjoy a festive evening out, listen to the music, take in some beautiful art.
