Next to Kin will perform at the Show Trailer at the Tioga County Fair on Wednesday, from 3 to 7 p.m.

One of the features of this year’s fair is five bands offering live entertainment on Wednesday, Aug. 8; Thursday, Aug. 9; Friday, Aug. 10; and two shows on Saturday, Aug. 11. Shows will take place at the Show Trailer, located within the fairgrounds.

On Wednesday, guests can enjoy entertainment by Next to Kin from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Show Trailer.

“Next to Kin is truly a family affair,” the band states on their Facebook Page. 

The band is comprised of Ryan Cirbus on the bass, his sister Mallory Evans on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, and “adopted” sister Mary Tewksbury on lead guitar and vocals. 

With a wide array of originals and covers there is a little something for everybody!

Friends with Benny’s will perform at the Show Trailer from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Tioga County Fair.

The genre of this popular, acoustic band of strings is described as “Acoustic music born out of the hills between Vestal and Owego, New York.”

Band members include Dave Carey, guitar mandolin and vocals; Ryan Cirbus on bass; Cristina Cox on violin and vocals; Steve DeRiancho, banjo and vocals; and Bob “Banjo” Kerber, shred table (or dobro) and vocals. 

The band will perform on the Show Trailer from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Aug. 10, Waverly, New York’s “Friends with Benny’s” will perform on the Show Trailer from 4 to 8 p.m.

The band delivers originals and cover music, performing a mix of reggae, folk, rock, funk, jam, blues, soul, hip-hop, and more.

According to their biography, Friends with Benny’s began as a collaboration between friends of three previously, (and currently), successful local bands. Sharing a common vested interest in musical expression, and an unparalleled appreciation for an array of genres, they combined to create the super-group they are to-date.

Last Call will perform at the Tioga County Fair on Saturday, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Be it tightly played tributes with a twist, or sui generis compositions of front man, Benjamin Borko; from Funk to Folk, Rock to Reggae, and everything before and between, Friends with Benny’s is bound to please!

Benjamin Borko, lyrics, vocals and rhythm/lead guitar (and namesake of this eclectic group), is backed by the precision percussion of Joseph Soprano and sublime rhythms of bass guitar player Jacob Brennan.

The band has performed regionally, and was awarded at the 2016 Annual Maple Festival at the Troy Fairgrounds in Troy, Pa.

Be sure to catch their show on Friday, between the hours of 4 to 8 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

Closing out the fair on Saturday will be two shows. 

From 2 to 4 p.m., Nelson and Murdock will perform at the Show Trailer. 

“Last Call,” a group that describes themselves as “Seasoned musicians playing Classic Rock, Leaning to Southern Rock and Rhythm and Blues, and specializing in 70’s and 80’s Rock,” will perform from 6 to 10 p.m.

Band members include Michael Green, lead vocals; Scott Weiss, lead guitar and vocals; Steve Spangler, lead guitar and vocals; Randolph Sheldon, bass and vocals; and Karl Jaramillo, drums and vocals.
