Community Bank N.A. welcomes new branch manager

Community Bank N.A. is pleased to announce Chad Smith has joined its team as branch manager of the Nichols location. Smith brings to the team more than 23 years of experience in the financial industry.

In his new role, Smith will oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring every customer receives the highest level of service. He will also be responsible for managing the branch’s compliance with operating policies and procedures, and outside regulatory requirements.   

“We are thrilled that Chad has accepted this key leadership role with our bank,” Community Bank N.A District Manager Denise Allen said, adding, “Chad has a long history in banking, giving him the knowledge and expertise needed to lead our Nichols branch. I look forward to watching the team grow and thrive under his leadership.”

Prior to joining the Community Bank N.A. team, Smith spent time with Citizens & Northern Bank, Northern State Bank and Northern Central Bank. Most recently, he served as mortgage originator at PS Bank. 

Outside of the office, Smith is an active member in his community, serving as the treasurer for Athens Little League and a volunteer with a variety of youth organizations.

Smith earned his associate degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology and is a graduate of the Advanced School of Banking and Commercial Lending School at Bucknell University. In addition, he is a graduate of NY/Penn Leadership Program. Smith resides in Sayre with his wife, Carrie, and their sons Brady, Carson and Griffin.
