It was a morning to remember for four local students and four Owego families who delivered educational scholarships to graduating seniors from Owego Free Academy.
Honoring their family members and family contributions to the community were the Dave P. Beere family, the Louise and Robert Woodburn family, the Eudora and Fred Shuler family, and the Robert and Joyce Merwin family.
The $500 scholarships were provided by the Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation, highlighting significant family community service in a ceremony at the Bassett Ah-Wa-Ga Center on Lake Street in Owego.
