Tioga Downs to host job fairs in March; looking to fill about 80 positions

Tioga Downs Casino Resort, one of the Southern Tier’s largest employers, is thrilled to be opening up doors and opportunities to prospective employees at three upcoming job fairs. 

The casino resort is currently looking to fill approximately 80 seasonal and regular positions, and will welcome local talent at three job fairs during the month of March. 

If a career on the golf course sounds like a great fit for you, stop by the Tioga Golf Club Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at the old Nichols Elementary School. 

The former school, located at 139 Roki Blvd., Nichols, is conveniently located adjacent to the Tioga Golf Club. There, interviewers will be looking to fill positions for the restaurant, such as bartenders, food servers and line cooks and golf course positions like golf cart attendants, beverage servers, ground maintenance workers, pro shop attendants and more. The Tioga Golf Club includes a brand new $3 million dollar clubhouse, complete with a new bar, restaurant and catering facility.

Two more job fairs will take place inside Virgil’s Real BBQ at Tioga Downs later this month. From 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, the job fair at Tioga Downs will be exclusively open to veterans as a display of support and gratitude for those who have selflessly served our country. The general public will be welcomed from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

A final job fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, will be entirely open to the public. Attendees of these job fairs will have the opportunity to apply for the following positions: Banquet Staff, Food and Beverage Staff for Virgil’s, PJ Clarke’s, County Fair Buffet, Coaster’s Bar, concessions and the casino bars, Surveillance, Security (license required), Player’s Club, Mutuel Tellers, Cage Cashiers, Track Maintenance, Guest Room Attendants and Custodial.
