On Nov. 6, 2017, at about 2: 30 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell responded to a Broome County 911 report of suspicious people attempting to enter a home on North McKinley Avenue, in the Town of Union. Prior to arriving they were advised that the suspicious people had left in a vehicle.  

Responding troopers observed a similar vehicle turning onto North Rogers Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, Alfred Irish Jr., and Anthony J, Bennett and Vincent J. Pitts.  

An investigation determined that all three of the men had burglarized that home, and two of them had stolen property from a parked car on North Rogers Avenue.

Alfred Irish Jr., age 20, of Endicott, N.Y.

At about 3:45 a.m., police arrested Alfred Irish Jr., age 20, of Endicott, N.Y. for the felony of Burglary 3rd degree and the misdemeanor of Petit Larceny; Anthony J. Bennett, age 20, of Apalachin, N.Y. for the felony of Burglary 3rd degree and the misdemeanor of Petit Larceny; and Vincent J. Pitts, age 20, of Vestal, N.Y. for the felony of Burglary 3rd degree. 

All three suspects were arraigned in the Town of Union Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail with no bail set.  Their next court dates are pending.
