Olum’s collects for homeless animals

Olum’s has partnered with the Broome County Humane Society to help collect supplies for local pets in need, now through Nov. 18.

Olum’s locations in Vestal and Johnson City are accepting drop off donations of the everyday supplies the Humane Society needs to keep their shelters running. These items include canned or dry dog and cat food, garbage bags, paper towels, soaps, detergents, blankets, towels, collars, leashes, toys and more. Monetary donations directly to the shelter are also welcomed.

The collections will culminate with a Meet & Greet event on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Olum’s Vestal store. There you will be able to meet Humane Society staff and some of their ‘Adoptable Residents’. You will also be able to bring in your donations and learn more about the B.C. Humane Society.

A full list of donatable items is available at bchumanesoc.com/donations.
