Shelter Slam, an event held a couple of times a year that benefits local shelters, will take place on Aug. 19 at Endwell Greens Golf Club located on Sally Piper Road. The event will take place beginning at 11 a.m., rain or shine, and is open to all ages.

Admission to the event, which will feature approximately a dozen bands and showcases various rescue organizations, is $10, or an equivalent amount of pet food.

Bands slated to perform include Wreckless Marci, Threatpoint, Hot Dogs and Gin, Drama Scream, Recycled Zombies, Sanctuary, and several others. You can “Follow” them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ShelterSlamNY/ for a full schedule of events and further details. 

The fundraiser will have several raffles available at the event, with all dollars benefiting local shelters to include Pibbles and More, Every Dog’s Dream, Willows Wings, the Binghamton Humane Society, and other local rescue groups.
