On June 10, 2017, at about 5:19 p.m., the New York State Police at Owego arrested Barbara Davey, age 57, from Newark Valley, N.Y. for the felony of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a passenger less than 16 years old and a B.A.C. result of .13 percent. 

According to police, this arrest occurred after a trooper responded to a report of a vehicle into a ditch just off Newark Valley Main Road in the Town of Newark Valley. 

An investigation determined that Davey was driving while intoxicated when she left the roadway unsafely and ran into ditch. 

Police reported that at the time of this accident she was driving with her 6-year-old granddaughter as a passenger. 

Davey was issued tickets to appear in the Newark Valley Town Court on July 27, 2017.
