Parking for Owego’s Strawberry Festival

The Village of Owego will be hosting Strawberry Festival activities starting on Friday, June 16 at 5 p.m. and continuing through the day on Saturday, June 17.

During parts of the festival some streets will be closed and detours will be in place.

There will be a block party and fireworks display on Friday evening, June 16.

Visitors and residents should be aware that Lake Street and Front Street, between Church Street and Court Street, will be closed from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. No on street parking will be allowed in the area.

On Saturday, beginning at 5 a.m., the downtown area is closed through the conclusion of the festival at 5 p.m. This includes lower North Avenue, the adjoining portion of Main Street, Lake Street, Church Street, between Main and Front Streets, and Front Street and Court Street. The Court Street Bridge and Park Street will become 2-way and will remain open.

Parking, shuttle bus service, and handicap shuttles will be available all day on Saturday at both Hickories Park and Marvin Park (Tioga County Fairgrounds, Route 17C West – Exit 64). The cost to ride the shuttle is $3 per car.

Parking from the East is available at Hickories Park (Route 17C) beginning at 7:30 a.m. and shuttle by 8 a.m. Parking from the West is available at Marvin Park (Route 17C).

Vendor shuttle and parking is available at 6 a.m. from Marvin Park. Festival parking begins at 7:30 a.m. with shuttle by 8 a.m. Shuttles run until 6 p.m. or until the lots are empty.
