Celebrate June’s First Friday Art Walk in Owego with the artists of the Black Cat Gallery on Friday, June 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Dan Williams, a photographer at the Black Cat Gallery and popular with his local scenes, has donated one of his large, horizontal photos of Owego as the Grand Prize for June’s Art Walk.

Grab an Art Walk passport, have it stamped at six of the passport businesses, and then drop it off at Original’s Bar and Lounge. You must be present for the drawing at 8:30 p.m.

Music at the Black Cat Gallery for June’s Art Walk will be the “John Truth Experience”, offering a blend of Americana, folk, jazz, country, rock and old traditional standards.

The featured artist for the month of June is Lori Weisz, with “Osteophilic Oddities” – using ethically sourced animal materials and plants to create one of a kind jewelry and décor.

The Black Cat Gallery is currently looking for new artists. Stop in for an application or inquire through their website, blackcatgalleryowego.com. You can also follow them on Facebook for the latest creations of jewelry, textiles, pottery, art and much more.

The Black Cat Gallery is locate at 190 Front St. in Owego and is open daily.
