“Celebrate With Us” is the theme for the Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA and Tioga County Chamber of Commerce Black Tie and Tails Gala hosted by Pumpelly Estate.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 22 in the Carriage House Event Center at Pumpelly Estate located on Front Street in Owego, N.Y. Attire is semi-formal for this evening affair to celebrate Stray Haven’s 50th year of service in Tioga County. Tuxedos are not required.
‘Yappy’ Hour begins at 7 p.m. with red carpet style entry photos and VIP visits from adoptable shelter pets, dinner-style Hors d’ouevres and a cash bar. At 8:30 p.m. the Dessert Bar opens and they kick the dancing into high gear.
A Silent Auction will continue throughout the evening with items donated by Chamber businesses and Stray Haven supporters. The Balloon Pop offers guaranteed prizes in addition to the Silent Auction.
This is the inaugural year for this exciting event, which will highlight Stray Haven’s work over the past 50 years and the supporting partnerships with local businesses through the Tioga Chamber of Commerce.
April is also Catapalooza month for Stray Haven, offering reduced adoption fees to help shelter cats find their “fur-ever” home. Meet some adoptable pets and learn more about how Stray Haven and the Chamber work for you in our community.
The cost to attend the Gala is $50 per person. Advance ticket purchase is recommended as the event may sell out.
