Children’s author to visit Owego Bookshop

On Saturday, April 1, April Fool’s Day, Riverow Bookshop in Owego will be hosting children’s author and illustrator Daniel Jude Miller reading from his two titles, Monsters in Manhattan and Everybody Wake Up! Miller promises a time of storytelling, laughing, singing and even monsters.

“I can’t explain the feeling I get from watching a child’s face light up when they get to meet an actual author reading from their own book,” he said, adding, “It’s as exciting for me as it is for them.”

Miller, who will be at Riverow from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will also answer questions about the process of writing and illustrating a picture book using examples from his upcoming projects – Monsters in Manhattan 2 and Halloween Boy and the Christmas Kid.

Children of all ages, young through adult, are invited to attend. Riverow Bookshop is located at 187 Front St. in Owego. For more information, visit riverow.com, Facebook, or call (607) 687-4094.

Daniel Jude Miller, originally from Queens, is now based in Binghamton, N.Y. He is also the author and illustrator of the children’s picture book Earclaw & Eddie and makes author visits to schools. Visit www.djudemiller.com/schoolvisits for more information.
