Local author to sign books at Ye Olde Country Florist

On Dec. 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sheri McCall, author of a children’s book, titled “A Boy, A Bear, and a Bump in the Night”, will be at Ye Olde Country Florist for a book signing event.

The story is about a little boy named Dick who was scared of nighttime noises. He could never fall asleep because of strange sounds he would hear, convinced it was a monster lurking in the dark. One night, he decided he had had enough and, with his teddy bear named Fred, decided to find out what was making all the racket. What he discovered was someone not very scary at all, and who was a lot like him. Someone just as scared of the noises at night, someone who was looking for a safe place to stay, and maybe a friend or two!

The book, in both soft and hard cover, is available at Ye Olde Country Florist located at 86 Main St. in Owego. Also available is the bear that inspired the “teddy bear named Fred” from the story.
