Celebrating Women in Business to host conference on November 3

The 9th Annual Celebrating Women in Business conference will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Owego Treadway Inn & Conference Center in Owego, N.Y. from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The daylong conference is an opportunity for business owners and their staff to come as attendees, or participate in a trade show while networking with other businesses.

Come and be inspired by speakers and motivated during breakout sessions. The conference is culminated by a luncheon and fashion show and ends with an array of door prizes.

“Some people come year after year just to hear Dr. Francis Battisti,” said Ginny Robert, chair of the conference, referring to the annual kick-off speaker. Battisti, executive vice president and chief academic officer at SUNY Broome, is a worldwide speaker, appearing regularly on television and radio programs and has authored a variety of articles addressing the areas of conflict, wellness and human potential for over 20 years. This year’s message is, “Juggling Your Life to Achieve Effective Balance.”

Susan Beebe, CEO of Lighthouse Marketing, will be giving the keynote address on “Six Lessons in Becoming a More Effective Negotiator.”

Some of the breakout sessions will cover how to use referrals to super-charge businesses and how to build brands with social media.

“The breakout speakers were so helpful in jump-starting new ways to help my clients,” said Sarah, a previous attendee from Endicott.

Attendee registration is $75, full 8-foot vendor tables are $225, which includes one attendee ($75) registration and half tables are $165, which includes one registration. Additional attendees are $75. Non-profit organizations are $195 for a full table, which includes one registration.

The public is invited to attend during trade show times from 8 to 9 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. for free.
