The Bark Report

The Bark ReportA big thanks to the community for coming out to the very first “Bark in the Park” that was held recently at the Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park in Owego. More than 300 people and pooches attended the event, making it a big success. The Owego Dog Owner’s Group (ODOG) exceeded their fundraising goal for this event, thanks to the community.

The attendance at the dog park continues to grow, with more visitors and new dogs visiting every week. ODOG is fortunate to have this fabulous dog park in the area, where dogs can roam off leash.

ODOG is looking for ten new volunteers to help at the park. Fall has arrived, and it’s a great time to be outside and enjoy the dog park.

They are also looking for a communications professional to assist in the development of cutting edge social marketing, public relations and marketing campaigns. They are looking for the usual things like intelligence, creativity, experience, management acumen, and a passion for dogs. Writing talent and experience are essential.

Please let them know if you can help.

Do you have some cool dog stories about the dog park? Do you have an experience you would like to share with others? Feel free to submit them to info@owegodogs.org and include any photos you may have to go with the story.
