Binghamton resident charged with Possession of Heroin after search warrant

The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team/Gun Investigation Unit and Vestal Police Department announce the arrest of a Binghamton resident after a search warrant led to the seizure of over 240 packages of heroin.

State Police CNET Southern Tier Gun Investigation Unit and Vestal Police Department members concluded a two-month investigation into heroin sales in Broome County with the execution of a search warrant at 8 Ogden St., Binghamton, N.Y., the residence of Kendall Smith, age 38.

During the search of the residence, police located 245 glassine envelopes containing heroin, packaging materials used in the sale of heroin and $240 in U.S. Currency.

State Police charged Kendall Smith with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree, a misdemeanor.

Kendall Smith was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
