Binghamton man arrested on Heroin charges

Kenneth E. Godfrey, age 21, of 30 Mather St., Apt. 4, Binghamton, N.Y., was recently charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (possession with intent to sell), both Class B Felonies.

The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), in conjunction with the Vestal Police Department, announced the arrest of a City of Binghamton resident for Criminal Sale and Possession of Heroin.

CNET members charged Kenneth E. Godfrey, age 21, of 30 Mather St., Apt. 4, Binghamton, N.Y. with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (possession with intent to sell), both Class B Felonies.

Members of CNET and the Vestal Police Department executed a search warrant on Godfrey, his vehicle, and his residence on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. The searches resulted in the seizure of 371 wax paper envelopes, each containing heroin, as well as $408 in U.S. Currency.

Godfrey was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
