Striking balance represented during July’s Arts Council exhibit

The Visual Cosmos of This & That opens on First Friday, July 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tioga Arts Council, located at 179 Front St. in Owego. The exhibition will run until July 28.

“The Visual Cosmos of This & That: a three year existential therapy crisis” is a collection of three series created between 2015-2018 by artist Kristina O’Connor.

The exhibit, running from July 6-28 at the Tioga Arts Council, features ink drawings on paper inspired by an intimate and conscious effort to understand, cope, and engage with the average American human experience. Our world is complicated.

The Visual Cosmos of This & That strikes a balance between chaos and control, empathy and entertainment, and encourages us to not take things too seriously.
