Pumpelly House Estate to celebrate grand re-opening

On Thursday, Sept. 14, the Pumpelly House Estate, located at 44 Front St. in Owego, will celebrate the completed expansion of the Carriage House Event Center with a grand re-opening celebration. A ribbon will be cut at 5:15 p.m., officiating the re-opening, and then a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception will follow until 8 p.m. 

The expansion includes the glassed Riverside Room, which extends the inside of the Carriage House to accommodate seating up to 210 people with a maximum capacity for various events up to 300 people. The upgraded 1,800 square foot wrap around Riverside Deck overlooks the Gazebo, sloping lawns, and the Susquehanna River. The smaller deck with fire pit has a garden setting. Also included in the upgrading is the second floor Bridal readying room.
