Thanks from the Tioga Women’s Suffrage Committee

Dear Editor,

The Tioga Women’s Suffrage Committee thanks the Pennysaver for promoting the 100th anniversary of New York State women winning the right to vote for the first time in history, especially the great articles and photos by JoAnn Walter and others. 

Thanks also, to everyone who attended our signature event at the Tioga County Courthouse. They had the opportunity to get a close-up look at the beautiful architecture and learn some of its history. 

Now that we are nearing the end of our celebration, we have one final request. On Saturday, Oct. 7, Broome County will be holding their Suffrage Parade in Binghamton and we need women of all ages, and some progressive-thinking men from Tioga County to join us in marching along with them. It will be fun and memorable and we ask you to please mark it on your calendar.
