Roberson Museum, located at 30 Front St. in Binghamton, invites families to celebrate Youth Art Month with Art Explorers Day, a creative extravaganza of hands-on activities, captivating stories, and a special planetarium show.
Join them on Saturday, March 8, where young artists will unleash their creativity at exciting craft stations scattered throughout the museum. Each station is thoughtfully designed to spark imagination and develop artistic skills, including painting, paper weaving, wax melting, and more!
In the historic Roberson Mansion, educators will host special Story Time sessions at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.. Register in advance and receive a FREE copy of the storybook while supplies last!
Roberson’s Link Planetarium will be showing the beautifully illustrated Larry Cat in Space at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Planetarium shows are free for Members and $4 for Not-Yet-Members.
“We are excited to introduce Art Explorers Day, our newest family event,” says Amy Marcho, Education Director at Roberson. “What better way to celebrate Youth Art Month than with a day of kid-friendly art, crafts, and activities? We will be showing the Planetarium show, Larry Cat in Space, perfect for young children. Don’t forget to pre-register for our special Story Time, space is limited!”
