Local Resident Publishes Children's Book On Divorce

Newark Valley resident Mary Petronio Collins recently published a book about the real-life impact of divorce on both children and their parents. Divorce is often hard on a child and comes with many emotions and difficulties.

Incorporating the author’s actual circumstances as well as those of her own children, “I Miss You A Ton – A Young Girls’ Struggle With Her Parents’ Divorce” shows all children of divorce that they are not alone in their feelings.

Mary Petronio Collins is a registered nurse who works in two nearby primary care offices. Her children are now grown with careers of their own. Collins is working on other books and is currently searching for a new publisher. She hopes to publish her next book soon, which discusses her granddaughter’s interactions with her great-grandfather, who had dementia.

“I Miss You A Ton: A Young Girls’ Struggle With Her Parents’ Divorce” can be found online at www.dorrancebookstore.com, by calling 1-800-788-7654, at Barnes and Noble, or at Amazon.com.
