The Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation, Inc., located in Owego, N.Y., recently announced its Spring Student Leadership Training is set for Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to noon at the American Legion Post 401, located at 263 Front St. in Owego.
The workshop is open to all students in grades eight through 10 in Tioga and Broome Counties.
This training is co-sponsored by the Community Foundation for South Central New York and seeks to get young people more actively involved in their communities through community service leadership and projects that help others.
Pre-registration is required by April 10 by emailing to chbyouthfoundation37@gmail.com. There is no fee to attend, and a pizza lunch will be provided by the CHBYF.
