December at the Berkshire Free Library

Berkshire Reading Club and Tillers and Toilers Garden Club members Mary Ellen Odom and Audrey Lowes have decorated the Berkshire Free Library for this year’s holiday season.

A table filled with free hats and scarves donated by a local crafter are available for anyone needing to keep warm this winter.

Holiday themed novels are on display thanks to retired Library Assistant Lena Sherwood.

Five holiday raffle baskets are also on display for a drawing planned for Dec. 18. Information can be found on the library’s website, www.berkshirefreelibrary.org.

A new crafters group, open to all, meets at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday.  Preschool Story Time, with fun books and crafts, has switched to Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. beginning Dec. 1.

Miss Fran will be assisting Santa at the Berkshire Fire Auxiliary’s Christmas party, planned for Sunday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. And there will also be holiday festivities in Richford on Sunday, Dec. 12. Stay tuned for more!

The library is located at 12519 State Route 38, and is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Handicapped parking and access is available from Jewett Hill Road.
