Last month, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Jo Ellen Yoest, caseworker, has been named Employee of the Third Quarter for 2019. This award is given in recognition of Yoest’s outstanding work and contributions to the Tioga County Department of Social Services.
Yoest began her career with Tioga County DSS in January 2017 as a Caseworker in the CPS Unit.
In a press release, DSS described Yoest, stating, “JoEllen has consistently and without hesitation stepped up to take extra cases to ensure children are safe and families are connected to needed services. In addition, she has volunteered to help Caseworkers in other units by making casework contacts when needed and is always looking for ways to streamline our work while maintaining best practices. Jo Ellen does this without expecting anything in return and without complaint.”
They continued, “No matter what the day throws at her, Jo Ellen’s demeanor is calm and soothing. She is dependable and honest. It does not matter what Jo Ellen is asked to do, she will do it and do it well. She is a pleasure to work with and highly deserving of this award.”
