Kraig Moss returns to Little Meadows

On July 20, from 7 to midnight at Rusty’s Cabin in Little Meadows, Pa., “Nuth’n Fancy”, a band headed by Kraig Moss, will entertain guests during a fundraising event for CASA-Trinity, an organization in Tioga County that works to combat addiction, and spread awareness.

Moss will be joined by Adam Darer, a touring Pianist from Philadelphia, Pa.; Dan Bolten on sax; Craig Palmer (from Wreckless Marci) on guitar; Barney French on guitar; Joe Gana on harmonica; John Stark on bass; Mark Bradley (Battle Scar) on drums; and Kraig Moss on guitar and vocals. They may also have a special guest on percussions.

There will also be Middendorf BBQ Chicken available, raffles, and silent auctions. The event is free of charge.

Kraig Moss started “The Rob Moss Heroin Awareness Tour” as a memorial for his son Rob, and anyone else that has died from an overdose and the family’s affected.

According to Moss, “It’s designed to bring family’s that have lost loved ones to drugs or any other sudden unexpected deaths to realize there has to be life for the living.”

In a recent release, Moss also expressed concern, stating, “It has also come to light that many families are ashamed to talk about their loved one’s death due to heroin or other drugs. I’ve got news for you folks there’s nothing to be ashamed of. These kids made some bad decisions in their lifestyle and now, we the living, are paying for it.”

Moss related to the loss of his own son to heroin, and added, “I loved my son and was totally devastated when he died. I talk to him and say, Rob, if you were trying to get the old man you’ve done a good job.”

During the July 20 event, Moss will read a “Last Letter” he wrote to Rob after he died.

The first show on Moss’s tour was in Leesburg, Fla. on May 17, 2014, just four months after he lost his son Rob to an overdose. They raised over $5,000 for Woodlands Treatment Center in Tallahassee Fla., a rehab center for addicted young men.

The July 20 event will be raising money for CASA-Trinity.

Two years ago, and through the efforts of Bonnie Steen, her family, and the residents of Little Meadows including all the volunteers of the Little Meadows Fire Department, they raised $3,000 for the cause.

Moss and his crew are hoping to raise enough money, through the event, to make a continued difference in the region, and through the works of CASA-Trinity.
