Tioga County BOE announces General Election early voting

New York State passed Election Reform in January 2019 requiring Early Voting starting with this November’s General Election. The Commissioners of the Tioga County Board of Elections have details on the introduction of Early Voting for this November’s General Election.

Based on population, New York State law requires that Tioga County have at least one (1) Early Voting Center open for Early Voting. Tioga County BOE will start Early Voting for the November General Election at the Tioga County Board of Elections, 1062 State Route 38, Owego, N.Y. 13827.

The Tioga County Board of Elections Early Voting Center will be open during the following times and dates: on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; on Sunday, Oct. 27 from noon to 5 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 28 from noon to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 30 from noon to 8 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

There is a Primary Election on Tuesday, June 25, from noon to 9 p.m. for registered Republican voters in the towns of Barton, Candor, Nichols, Owego and Tioga, as well as a Primary for Democratic voters in the town of Richford.  There are no contested Primary Elections within the towns of Berkshire, Newark Valley nor Spencer and their poll sites will be closed on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
