Young ladies, are you interested in canoeing rivers, hiking mountains and sleeping in snow shelters? If so, join Scouts BSA Troop 38 for an informational session regarding the establishment of a Scouts BSA Troop for girls on Tuesday, April 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the First Union Presbyterian Church in Owego.

The newly established Troop will be open to girls age 11 to 18 that are interested in mastering a wide variety of outdoor related skills, working as a team to plan and enjoy a wide variety of activities and outings, carrying out meaningful community service, and earning ranks up to Eagle Scout.

Girls and parents or guardians that have any interest in these types of activities are encouraged to attend this informational session that will cover how the Troop will organize and run, conduct a facility tour, and have opportunity for extensive questions and answers.

If you have any questions, contact Annamae Scheuerma by calling (607) 621-3064 or Chuck Birdsall at (607) 765-4700.
