R&C Auto Repair expands services

R&C Auto Repair, LLC, located at 2100 State Rte. 17C in Owego, a family-run business for 23 years, is gearing up to expand their services.

Owners Russ and Cynthia Cornwell are pleased to offer new services due to the growth of their business, and have hired one technician, with a second technician coming on board soon.  

R&C Auto Repair offers N.Y.S. inspections, oil changes, major and minor engine repairs, electrical repair, brake service, tires, computer diagnostics and drive-train diagnostic and repair, just to name a few.  

A brand new, state-of-the-art Hofmann 3D Aligner for alignment services is one of the latest enhancements at the facility, as is a new lift that will be opened in the fourth bay soon. Additionally, the Cornwell’s are working on a “rapid lube” bay, which will feature drive-in oil changes and inspections, for 7:30 a.m. waiting appointments. 

Ruth Searle, a customer of R&C Auto Repair for over 20 years, and going back to when the business worked out of their two-bay shop on Glenmary Drive, shared about a recent experience, “I had a sudden problem with my vehicle and they took me right in. They are reliable and have always done good work on all of our vehicles.”

R&C Auto Repair, across the road from Tioga Gardens and only one-quarter mile from the entrance to Lockheed Martin, and just a mile-and-a-half east of McDonald’s in Owego, is situated in a convenient location.

Cynthia commented, “We have permission from Lockheed Martin to give rides to employees who leave their vehicles here for service.”

“Giving back to the community is important to us, too,” Cynthia remarked.

Working with the Open Door Mission, R&C Auto Repair has sponsored “Backpacks for Kids,” and where most recently they supplied 100 backpacks for Tioga County youth. Also, for two years, R&C Auto Repair has participated in the “Toys for Tots” campaign coordinated by the U.S. Marine Corp.

The Cornwell’s shared, “We value our customers and work hard to not only gain their trust but build a strong customer relationship.”

R&C Auto Repair is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with extended hours on Tuesday until 7 p.m.  There are no weekend hours so that the Cornwell’s and their employees can enjoy family time. The Cornwell’s are the proud parents of three children and eight grandchildren.

New customers are invited to stop in during regular business hours for a tour of the facility.
