With a twinkle in his eye, and a touch of his nose, Santa explained where his reindeer were parked to six-year-old Benjamin Schecter of Candor last Sunday, and during a Breakfast with Santa event held at the Candor Fire Department.

According to Carol Henry, Candor historian and member of The Candor Masonic Lodge #411, the proceeds from last Sunday’s event will support the Candor Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund.

Henry also noted that this was the first year that the event was held at the Fire Hall, as the Masons sold their building.

“The firemen stepped in to help out this year,” said Henry.

The event welcomed children and their families for a buffet style breakfast and a visit with Santa, as well as a free gift, donated by Randy and Dee Conner. Randy is a Mason.

Following the breakfast event, Santa continued on, along with Masonic Lodge members, to the Candor Elderly Apartments, where residents gathered in the community room and got to sit on Santa’s lap, sing carols, and share the spirit of Christmas. As usual, Santa had gifts for everyone.
