Stray Haven to hold Holiday Open House

Stray Haven, located on Shepard Road in Waverly, is hosting a Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m.

There’s no place like home for the holidays, and that’s true for both people and pets. The adoptable dogs, cats, and kittens at Stray Haven Humane Society in Waverly are safe and warm, but there’s nothing they would like better than to have a place to call home for the holidays. 

In addition to visiting the many adoptable pets at the event there will be cookies and treats, along with a silent auction gift basket. Guests will also have an opportunity to tour the facility.

Adoption rates will be reduced during the open house as follows: “Name Your Adoption Donation” for adult cats and dogs seven years or older who have been with them for seven months or longer. Donation for all other shelter pets: Adult dogs are $100, and adult cats are $40. Spay and neuter and current vaccinations are included in the adoption donation.

If you’d like to bring something for under their tree, please consider bleach, paper towels, laundry soap, and Clorox Wipes (any brand).
