Tioga Downs Casino Resort is adding more impressive talent to its leadership team. Paul Sheppard, a veteran of the casino industry, has been named Executive Director of Gaming Operations.
Mr. Sheppard has been in the gaming and hospitality industry for 23 years, starting as a steward at the age of 18 and transferred to a dealer at the age of 19 in Ontario, Canada at Casino Niagara. Since then, he’s worked his way up to management, successfully leading teams at casinos in major markets across the country. He most recently spent six years in Maryland.
“Tioga Downs is at an all-time high. We’ve seen phenomenal results since introducing our new amenities, and the casino is performing better than ever before. To ensure the continuation of that success, we’ve put in place some of the gaming industry’s top talent,” Jeff Gural, owner of Tioga Downs, said, adding, “Mr. Sheppard will work closely with Mr. Charlie Otto, who was recently promoted to President/General Manager of Tioga and Vernon Downs. We have no doubt his experience will help us reach new heights in Nichols.”
Mr. Sheppard officially stepped into his new role in November.
