The Ti-Ahwaga Community Players invite you to join them this holiday season as they present their 17th annual production of Philip Grecian’s adaptation of Jean Shepherd’s, “A Christmas Story”.

Performances will run on Dec. 7, 8 and 9, and Dec. 14, 15 and 16 at the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center, 42 Delphine St., Owego, N.Y.

Shows start at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. General admission is $20, $18.00 for seniors 60 and older and students (including college age with a student ID), and $10 for children 12 and under.

A delicious assortment of wines, beers, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and desserts are provided with table service prior to the show and during intermission.

In addition to the regular performances, Ti-Ahwaga Players has partnered with the United Way and Lockheed Martin Military Resource Group to offer a special performance for seniors and military Veterans on Dec. 6.

Step back in time as we reminisce about that bygone Christmas season in Hohman, Indiana when young Ralphie Parker tries to convince his parents, teacher and Santa that a Red Ryder BB Gun is the perfect Christmas present. Be amused and delighted by the antics of the Old Man, Schwartz and Flick, and of course, the town bully, Scut Farkus.

This year’s cast includes Todd Smith as Ralph (the narrator); Jon Campbell as the Old Man; Kerry Kane as Mother; John Paul Kidney as Ralphie; Kaelen Brown as Randy; Jackson Frisbie as Flick; Noah Marino as Schwartz; Betty Pellicano as Esther Jane; Sophie Chapman as Helen; Carolyn Christy-Boyden as Miss Shields with Nicholas Selzer as the elf and Alex Bernstein as Scut Farkus.

This year also marks the third year that the Ti-Ahwaga Players are teaming with Tioga County Toys for Tots to provide toys for children in our county. Donations will be collected at the theater through Dec. 16.

Don’t get “Thtuck” without a ticket! Make this funny and festive show a memorable holiday tradition for your family. Call the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center at 687-2130 or visit tiahwaga.com today to reserve your seats.

The show is underwritten in part by Lockheed Martin, Bud’s Place, Scott Smith & Son, Inc., Susquehana Printers and MDVIP.
