The Sayre Salvation Army held its annual “Night Before” Thanksgiving community dinner Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Church of the Redeemer parish hall. Over 120 enjoyed the turkey and trimmings dinner with assistance from Boy Scout leader John Johnson IV (JJ) and Troop 19 from Sayre.

Special thanks are extended to the cooks at The Guthrie Clinic and Robert Packer Hospital for preparing the many turkeys in their large, modern kitchens. The Sayre Salvation Army Corps has been doing this community free “night before” Thanksgiving dinner for over ten years. Major Deb Stedman also assisted while running “here and there” helping with the Red Kettles scattered throughout the Valley.
