Holiday Parade taking place in Candor

On Saturday, Nov. 24, start out the holiday season by attending the fourth annual Candor, New York holiday parade. Enter a float or watch the parade, and after the parade join the organizers for hot dogs and other food items, hot chocolate, refreshments and cookies at Allen Memorial Baptist Church. You will also be able to see Santa and the Grinch.

If you are entering a float, formation is at 4:30 p.m. behind the ballpark on Route 96 / Spencer Road. Please enter from Mill Street onto McCarty Street, and at 5 p.m. the parade will start on Main Street and end at Allen Memorial Baptist Church, located at 8 Church St.

For up-to-date information, and the form to enter a float, look for them on Facebook. You can also email Nancy King at queen_b45@yahoo.com.

Note: Since it will be dark, and for the safety of the kids, the organizers are asking that no candy be thrown during the parade. If you wish, bring the candy to the party after the parade.
