Owego Elks Lodge #1039 is holding a Thanksgiving pie sale now through Nov. 12. Pre-sale orders are being taken so they can bake your pies and have them ready for pick-up on Nov. 16 and 17.
They are pre-selling 9-inch apple, apple crunch (no nuts) and pumpkin pies for your celebrations. Pies are $10 each. Payment may be made at the time of your order or when you pick up your pies.
Orders may be taken by calling Wendy at (607) 687-5193 or the Lodge at (607) 687-1039. You may also place your order in person at the Lodge Happy Hour on Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. Pick up for your pies will be on Nov. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. or Nov. 17 from noon to 3 p.m.
The Owego Elks Lodge is located at 223 Front St. in Owego. All proceeds from this sale will support the Lodge Capital Improvement Fund. The Lodge mansion, ballroom and Emporium are in need of major repairs. They are also gearing up to replace the roofs of these buildings and need to increase the funds in reserves.
