Owego’s Rotary Youth Exchange provides the opportunity of a lifetime

Want to experience a different culture, learn a different language, and see a different part of the world? Want to develop lifelong leadership skills and build friendships from another world citizen?

If you are in high school and between the ages of 15 and 18 years old, and are a scholastic and community leader, email contact@OwegoRotary.org to see what opportunities are available and what the Youth Exchange application process involves.

A previous outbound student involved in the program stated, “Leaving everything and everyone that I once knew to move to an unfamiliar country where I would experience new and share my own unique culture, and create a new life in just one year ended up being the best decision I will make in my lifetime.”

Another student stated, “I have changed so much as a person.”

It’s not only outbound students, however; hosting an exchange student in your home can be a rewarding international experience as well. Host families provide room and board and share their lives with exchange students, involving them in all family and community activities.
