Health Department announces Team Member of the Half

The Tioga County Public Health Department recently recognized Barb McCormick as the Team Member of the first half for 2018.

McCormick began working at the Public Health Department in July 1998 as an Account Clerk Typist. She was promoted several times, and is now a Confidential Assistant. 

In her role, McCormick is responsible for a large number of fiscal and administrative support tasks. In a press release, the health department described her as successful in all areas.

McCormick also received this award from her peers in 2012. In addition, she has twice been selected as the Tioga County Employee of the Quarter, once in 2007, and onece in 2012. 

The health department described McCormick as a hard worker, often completing tasks in record time, answering the majority of the live calls and always unselfishly doing everything for her co-workers. 

McCormick has two daughters, five grandchildren, and lives in Candor with her husband Bruce. She loves to vacation in Florida.
