The Depot welcomes back the well know folk group Cobblestone Crossing for a single performance at the Depot in Newark Valley on Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m.

Cobblestone Crossing performed in the Greater Binghamton area for 15 years until three years ago at which time Darrell Douglas, leader of the band and his wife Janet moved to the Nashville area.

They are returning for a short vacation and are looking forward to seeing old friends and performing once again in the area.

Expect to hear a combination of contemporary and traditional folk music by American and Irish folk groups such as the Kingston Trio; Peter, Paul and Mary; John Denver; Woody Guthrie; and Gordon Lightfoot. Guests may also hear a touch of bluegrass and country.

Playing and singing along with Darrell are his wife Janet, on the mandolin and guitar, Steve Rowell, a multi-instrumentalist that plays the guitar and bass, and Lou Ligouri on guitar and singing baritone with the group.

The Depot will open at 6 p.m. and Cobblestone Crossing will play at 7 p.m. Refreshments are available.

Admission to the concert is free, but a free will offering is appreciated.

Are there any cd’s of their music available? I do have 2, but wondered if there were any more.
