Candor’s Annual Independence Day Celebration

Candor's Fourth of July Parade 2018Since 1873, Candor has celebrated Independence Day. Various community organizations and citizens at large put together the celebration at this time.

The festivities started today, Wednesday, July 4, with a 10 a.m. parade (theme is Summer Past Times).

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 907 Candor is serving a chicken BBQ after the parade at the ball field.

And the fun doesn’t end there! There are carnival rides every day, a kiddie parade, and the

Purple Lightening.

Zoomobile on Thursday, fireworks on Friday at dusk and Tim Worden’s band After Dark, an open car show (free admission for all) with a pork chop BBQ and the band Bendher on Saturday.

As always, a family oriented event celebrating our Independence.
